Match Your Wedding Favors with Your Motif

July 31st, 2008 . by admin

Your wedding motif usually depends on your personality, the place where you live, or things that are memorable to both of you as a couple. Some factors that helped you decide on your wedding motif will also give you an idea of what wedding favors to give.

When your motif is something related to the beach, your wedding favors can be something that is regarded as treasures of the sea. A few examples of wedding favors that will match your beach motif would be two pearls strung in a kind of love knot; a pearl glued to a shell (cultured pearls can be bought cheap from pearl stores); polished clam with the couples name etched on the upper shell; or an item made of thin shells.

A motif that reflects an outdoor atmosphere like a garden or forest would be best complimented with wedding favors made of organic materials like wood, grass or leaf elements, or butterflies, or bamboo, or pebbles.

An industrial or modern wedding motif could go with wedding favors made of glass, ceramics, and metals.

However, these are no hard rules. A wedding with a garden motif could have a metal-made wedding favor like a miniature tin pail filled with something, and a wedding with a beach motif could have a miniature dolphin made of glass.

So don?t just select your wedding favors because they look beautiful. Select them to match the overall motif of your wedding.
