Weight Loss is Overwhelming and I Can’t Do It
July 4th, 2008 . by adminOne of the hardest things about trying to lose weight is the feeling that you can’t do it. It starts with a thought process: “I should lose weight.” Unfortunately, being active in your thought life is not as effective toward your weight loss goals as being physically active. The next thing that you think is, “I’m too heavy—not only do I not have energy but I don’t think a small amount of diet and exercise is going to help.” You may be right, on some levels, but that is a sad cop out. Truly it is. Even if you are very overweight (or think you are—it is probably not as bad as you think!), you can still make changes and see results. It may take a bit longer to become the super model you might envision yourself becoming, but don’t let that bring you down.
You can get there in time. Don’t give up! That’s the key: will power. If you want anything in life, you can most definitely achieve it. And weight loss is no exception. You can do this! Just make your mind up, not just at this moment, not just for the rest of the day—but for the rest of your life. You need to make lifestyle changes that will cause you to lose weight and keep it off. That means not picking up that bag of chips, those fries from the fast food place, not opting for the deep fried chicken instead of the grilled because it tastes just a little better. It might seem hard to resist your favourite foods, but if you start eating foods that are good for you, soon your old favourite foods will seem disgusting. You will have new favourite foods!
